i have been collecting mlp since 2010, though i had them as a child probably from 2003-2006. at some point my mother made me sell half of my childhood ponies at a garage sale; we like to joke that my current collection is my revenge. i only collect generations 1 and 3, with an exception for a random G2 clever clover i somehow ended up with. i initially collected G4 as well but have since fallen out of love with it due to bronies and shoddy toy quality. mlp is my main special interest and i can tell you an absurd amount of information about all facets of collecting: international pony facts, hundreds of pony names, restoration methods, the people behind the ponies, random tidbits and more. branching off from restoration, i have become keenly interested in plastics chemistry and why the plastics ponies are made of break down and why, including polypropylene hair and plasticizers.
